  • Syncopations, and more.


Also, melodic treatment including:

  • Rhythmic melodies: long accent and short accent.
  • Expressive melodies: phrasing in soli and solo.


All exercises will be done in groups and without reading sheet music, since the most important aspect in tango is to sound together with each other.

Two tango dance classes to explore or deepen the relationship between music and dance, by Mariano Laplume.


Mariano Laplume is a performatic artist and teacher from Buenos Aires. He has been dancing and playing Argentine Tango for 20 years. As dancer teaching and performing from 2011. He had a long career as Tango and classic musician playing the violin and viola with The Sexteto Milonguero and the Orquesta Academica form Teatro Colon in BA. He is also an Alexander Technique teacher.

This wonderful theater in Leipzig opens its doors for the culminating night of the Tango For Musicians intensive week. Dancers and audience members from Leipzig and nearby cities will come together to celebrate.

To avoid long lines and help the organization of the lunch break, the NML Cafe will offer TFM Registrants the chance to buy Lunch Tickets in advance for the week.


Each Lunch Combo includes:

  • 1 Sandwich, soup, or Dal (vegetarian curry with Rice) and/or quiche.
  • 1 soft drink
  • 1 little dessert


Lunch Combo will cost €12,- per day. A total of € 60 for the whole pack.

It must be purchased in advance.

A prolific composer, conductor, and arranger, pianist Exequiel Mantega has published more than 100 works. Between 2017 and 2019 he premiered more than 50 symphonic arrangements of Argentine music for the Orquesta Sin Fin, which he also conducts. Alongside Paulina Fain, he is co-founder of the Buenos Aires-based nonprofit arts organization Tango Sin Fin.

Bandoneonist, arranger, composer, and director Pablo Jaurena is a professor of musical composition at the Universidad Nac. de Córdoba. He is the first bandoneon of the Orq. de Música Ciudadana de Córdoba and has also been featured as guest conductor. He’s also a member of Orquesta El Arranque. He has recorded more than 50 albums and has given masterclasses around the world.

Sebastián Henríquez is the author of ​the book The Guitar in Tango. He was ​awarded the Latin Grammy in 2023 as ​album producer and has performed ​alongside the most important ​traditional music singers and writers ​in the Argentinian music scene. His ​experience as an educator has led him ​to become a faculty member at some ​of the most important music ​institutions in Buenos Aires.

She is the artistic director of the Orquesta Atípica Stuttgart.
